Structure

CCRA consists of a forum of 23 members from the government and voluntary sectors. Forum members make decisions regarding the general orientation and strategic directions of CCRA, and also vote new members into CCRA. The CCRA Board of Directors is made up of the top eight cancer research funders among the forum members, three elected members, one lay representative and two special members, The Canadian Partnership Against Cancer and the Canadian Association of Provincial Cancer Agencies (CAPCA), a non-voting member. The Board assumes the duties and responsibilities of the Research Action Group of The Partnership. CCRA is not a legal entity, but a group that meets and shares information on a voluntary basis, and works together to coordinate research strategy.
