CCRA Welcomes New Patient/Family Representatives
Effective January 1st, 2025, the CCRA Advisory Board welcomes two new patient and family representatives, Adrienne Co-Dyre and Chantale Thurston, both well known cancer research advocates. Adrienne has used her accumulated knowledge and experience to inspire changes in policy, research, and communication around pediatric cancer treatments and has been instrumental in establishing Helena’s Hope, the Pediatric Cancer Priority Setting Partnership, and ACCESS, a pan-Canadian consortium that aims to advance pediatric cancer research. Chantale is the co-founder of AYA CAN, a peer-led national organization advocating for adolescents and young adults in Canada affected by cancer and recently co-led the priority setting process to identify the top 10 priorities for adolescent and young adult cancer research.
At the CCRA Annual Members’ Meeting in December, the Board thanked Dr. Don Desserud for his five years of service on the Board and his contribution to PIP and other initiatives of the CCRA. Don will be greatly missed!
