2018 Investment in Cancer Research: Report Released
Today, CCRA released its latest report on the investment in cancer research. It reveals that $491M was invested in cancer research in 2018. Although a slight increase since 2017 (up $17M), the investment has been fairly constant over the past five years.
This year’s report includes some new analyses, which quantify the cancer-related health services and policy research (HSPR) investment for the five-year period, 2014-2018. The investment in cancer-related HSPR represented 5% of the overall cancer research investment for this period, with a fairly stable annual amount of between $26M to $27M.
The report has an accompanying slide deck and Excel file that expand on the report analyses. To access the annual report and companion documents, click here.
